Amani Channel is a former network news reporter and award-winning digital journalist. His passion is media, he lives and breathes it everyday. I met him while he was working at (now defunct) Black Family Channel in 2006 when he was looking for citizen journalists on YouTube. We struck up a friendship and I was in Atlanta and was interviewed by him. One of his first blogs was myurbanreport.com. I sent Amani a video back in 2007 about my trip to New York and he posted it on his web site.
Why Amani is Amazing
First of all because he is my business partner at Web Video Chefs, but really I learned so much about the media production business and Amani taught me how to put together a video package long before CNN iReport was around. He continues to teach video production at the University of West Georgia and speak nation-wide on video production and web video.
