Fine tune your video edits using the Range Selection Tool (FCPX)

I often tell my students that editing video is about fine-tuning details.  It is always about trimming at the correct point and making a video look believable. In this tutorial created for my training site Web Video Chefs, I show you the process for fine-tuning an edit using the range selection tool in Final Cut Pro X.  There are many times when you will have to cover shots with b-roll (additional footage) and splice words and cut out “umms and huhs,” this is part of the editing process.

Does the video edit look believable? There is one point where she looks away at 0:24. that I decided not to cover with broll, but I could go back and cover it.  Remember, you are never finished an edit, you just have to stop.
